Native Indian Culture - Chief Seattle

Learn about some of the Natives in Seattle with a trip to Port Madison. This is a reservation for the Suquamish Indians, known as Place of Clear Salt Water. Just off Bainbridge Island, these people are fisherman: Not just fish, but also crab and clams, and shrimp. They ship all over the world. Seattle is named for Chief Seattle, and the information at the Suquamish Museum is abundant. Nice gift shop, and stop at the Casino for a few minutes too if you wish. There’s a gift shop at the casino too. Excellent lunch included on Bainbridge Island before returning. Ferry rides on Puget Sound are very relaxing, and you take it both going and coming back.
