Seattle History on Bainbridge Island

History Buffs, here’s your chance to see some World War II history. As we know and will never forget, the Japanese were excluded from our American way of life in 1942. On Bainbridge Island you can go where the Japanese were forced to go, away from their homes and friends. The Exclusion Memorial is well done, sharing some photos of the times, and a memorial wall.

Just across the Bridge leaving Bainbridge Island is more history, this time about our names sake Chief Seattle. His grave is in the cemetery with Suquamish Indians.

This 5 hour tour is flexible so you may choose more time or less time at the venues. There are also nice trails to walk to see views of Seattle, the flora of Puget Sound, and see other islands.
